Right now, this area is used to showcase a handful of channels, which are essentially Twitter Lists that have been curated by Kutcher. And they’re persistent, so you can have his stream visible at all times. Unlike the regular Twitter stream, which UberMedia isn’t allowed to insert ads into because of Twitter’s Terms of Service, these additional widgets can be customized with whatever Kutcher wants - photos, video clips, messages longer than 140 characters, or ads. But to the left of that is another panel that’s also filled with content. There’s the Twitter stream we’ve all become accustomed to, with a section for private messages, and so on.

Notifications for any subject are easily enabled/disabled through the notifications settings page. You see, despite the fact that Kutcher has a massive Twitter following, he also has a lot of competition - if you’re following a few dozen active Twitter users, then his tweets might only show up on your screen for a minute or two, and unless you spend a lot of your day monitoring Twitter, you’re probably going to miss a bunch of his updates entirely.Īs you can see in the screenshot above, A.plus looks a bit different from your standard Twitter client. The application implements a Google Cloud Messaging notification system, whereby if a user searches for a tutor in a particular subject and there is no tutor signed up in their locality, the application prompts the user if they'd like to be notified upon a tutor signing up near them. The review system greatly aids students in finding the correct tutor for their purposes and in warning other application users of incompetent/untrustworthy tutors who are signed up. Tutors will appear on a Google Maps search for any students looking for grinds in a subject for which the tutor is signed up.Įach tutor can be reviewed in a particular subject by a user.

Tutors can sign up on the application, entering their information, including their location, price, contact information, gender, tutoring experience, subjects they teach at each level, and a comment/result relating to each subject. Students can view the tutors information and read any reviews for the tutor in the particular subject for which they are looking for grinds. The application enables students to search a subject at whatever level they wish and uses Google maps to show tutors who are signed up in their locality/all over Ireland.
